Welcome.

One in four adults will experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of a year, with anxiety and depression being the most commonly diagnosed. Mental health is just as important as physical health; but because we
can’t physically see a mental health problem, it can often go unnoticed. Mental Health problems are more common than most of us think.

Clients, their families, and the public are encouraged to report any concerns regarding client safety or quality of care to Heartland management at 217-347-7179 and/or the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations at 630-792-5000.

National Mental Health Anti-Stigma Campaign

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) launched the Mental Health Campaign for Mental Health Recovery to encourage, educate, and inspire people between 18 and 25 to support their friends who are experiencing mental health problems. This group has a high potential to minimize future disability if social acceptance is broadened and they receive the right support and services early on. There are a wide variety of resources available at the website including brochures in both English and Spanish. Find out more at the "What a Difference a Friend Makes" website at http://whatadifference.samhsa.gov. Share
