Our approach to addiction treatment incorporates treatment, support for families and friends of an individual with a drug or alcohol problem, and prevention services educating youth about the effects of addiction.
- Treatment programs include individual and group counseling, case management and aftercare in an outpatient or intensive outpatient setting. Pregnant women are given priority to treatment services.
- Intervention programs provide assessment and education when alcohol or drug use is leading to school, family, job, legal or relationship problems.
- Support programs focus on helping friends and family members close to the individual with an alcohol or drug problem.
- Prevention Services include provision of current alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) information and presentations, life skills and leadership training, and coalition-building with community groups sharing the common goal of positive youth involvement. Prevention programming works to impact public policy and to promote safe alternatives to youth substance abuse.
