Heartland Human Services was granted the Rural IL Opioid Overdose Prevention Grant in 2017 by State of Illinois Department of Public Health. Through this grant we work in partnership with ILEAS to provide law enforcement agencies and fire departments with Narcan. We also provide case coordination services to individuals who have overdosed on opioids with the hope of getting them into drug treatment so that they are able to live a drug free lifestyle. HHS covers 12 counties; Christian, Clay, Crawford, Edwards, Effingham, Fayette, Jasper, Lawrence, Marion, Richland, Wabash, and Wayne.
