Bob Phillips (MS, LCPC) has worked as a professional counselor since 2000 and has worked or volunteered in the helping profession since 1994. Bob demonstrates a commitment to the human service field as can be seen through his work with community mental health, public health, child welfare, private practice and as a behavior consultant. Bob has been actively involved with public services, through volunteerism with many community and professional organizations. Bob believes that working as a counselor is amazing, because it allows him to be both a teacher and a student each and every day. Bob has learned by working with professionals in Psychology and Social Work that the most important and effective tool in counseling is an understanding and therapeutic relationship. In his free time Bob currently Volunteers for the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), watching Comedy Movies and Documentary Films and artistic activities, painting and going to museums. Bob enjoys cooking and growing herbs and vegetables and he claims to have the best pickled beets.
