These multi-faceted positions provide independent living services to consumers within a residential setting. The successful candidates will provide life lesson coaching in a non-restrictive environment. Necessary skill set includes solving conflict, maintaining confidentiality, communicating in a positive manner, demonstrating ability to make timely decisions, and using time efficiently. Second shift positions are available. High school diploma / GED required. Position starts at $14.25 per hour. Heartland offers excellent benefits, including:

Outpatient Therapist
Heartland Human Services is a behavioral healthcare facility serving the Effingham community for over 55 years. We offer a small, engaging work environment with a flexible work schedule. We are currently seeing a recovery-oriented Outpatient Therapist to join our successful team of professionals. The ideal candidate should possess a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other human service field. Degree must qualify for Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) licensure in the State of Illinois. Individuals who do not possess licensure in the State of Illinois must achieve such within a time frame established by HHS. A Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in counseling may be used in lieu of a Master's degree. Experience working with children and families is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities include: following agency policies and procedures, providing outpatient therapy in individual and or group settings for children, adolescents, and their families to address emotional and behavioral concerns.

IPS Case Manager
Heartland Human Services is currently seeking an IPS Case Manager to join our successful team of professionals. The ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other human service field. Candidates must pass a background check meeting the requirements of the Illinois Healthcare Worker Background Check Act, agency policy, and any required funding regulations. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. Candidates shall be capable of maintaining a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the position.
Responsibilities include: the treatment and case management of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbances, or inability to function or maintain in the community; provides treatment in the least restrictive environment possible; promotes consumer responsibility and other significant involvement in the treatment process; subscribes to the recovery model for treatment services, and treats consumers with dignity and respect. Activities may include individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and education either on-site or in a client's own environment as needed and/or requested. This position also includes assisting individuals with job development.

Director of Services
Heartland Human Services, a local leader in behavioral health care services for over 55 years, is seeking a full time Director of Services to join our successful team of professionals. The ideal candidate should possess a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other human service field. Licensure in the Sate of Illinois is required. A minimum of three years of supervisory and program development experience is required. Abilities include: strong computer skills and proficiency within a Windows-based environment, handling of numerous projects simultaneously, good interpersonal skills, and knowledge of Medicaid and Managed Care Organizations. Must be knowledgeable of contractual requirement, rules, and regulations for all appropriate programs and funders.
Responsibilities include: assuming the duties and responsibilities necessary for the coordination of effective services to the consumers of the Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA), Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), and Geriatric Service programs; provision of professional education and training for consumers, families, and professional staff within the service system; and provision of specialized clinical consultation and direct service to older adults with more complex treatment needs for the Gero-Psychiatric Program of Heartland Human Services.
